Alexander Porter Pty Ltd was established to address an increasing need for a professional high- touch relationship driven recruitment service offering personalised service to both clients and candidates.  Established by Bruce Miller, who after traveling the world for several years in the 1990’s, returned to begin his hands-on IT career in the mid-late 1990’s as a COBOL programmer and IT Trainer.  Alexander Porter was created in 2001.

It could be said the origins of Alexander Porter began over 40 years ago.  Bruce was named after two of his father’s close friends, with their surnames respectively being Alexander and Porter.  Not having the ego to need his own name up in lights nor wishing a clichéd name like so many others in the recruitment world, Alexander Porter Pty Ltd portrays the qualities of the men from which it is named.

With approaching two decades of recruitment experience and an MBA (2009), he understands business pressures and how to alleviate this by consistently sourcing the right talent.
